GI-Ease vs Silicone Based Supplements

Silicone based products, like simethicone, are used commonly to relieve gas. Simethicone is non-water-soluble, hydrophobic and bonds naturally to non-living surfaces, like metal, plastic & PTFE1,2.

Binding agents, like xanthan gum, are also often used in anti-gas supplements, like simethicone. These common thickeners reduce costs by simplifying the manufacturing process, but xanthan gum, derived from the fermentation of Xanthomonas bacteria, produces a thick slime that increases viscosity. These ingredients could potentially support microbial and biofilm growth.1,2

GI-Ease is a water-based, water-soluble, digestive supplement which may support the healthy function of the GI tract*. GI-Ease contains zero sugars, thickeners, or binding agents, like xanthan gum. Utilizing the highest quality ingredients, combined with our temperature and micron filtration process, creates a water-soluble, dietary supplement.
